Call for abstracts
Submissions now open until midnight 4 September 2016 – NO EXTENSIONS
Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) and Meteorological Society of New Zealand (MSNZ) are holding a joint conference in conjunction with the Australian/New Zealand Climate Forum (ANZCF) from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 February 2017 at the Australian National University in Canberra.
The overall theme is “Australasian weather, climate and oceans: past, present and future”.
The Conference will run from 7–10 February (4 days), with the ANZCF incorporated within the conference on 9–10 February (2 days). Workshops and other peripheral sessions such as outreach meetings are being planned for Monday 6 February. It is envisioned that there will be two registration options, providing flexibility for participation.
ANZCF will be orientated towards topics of potential interest to both AMOS attendees and those who just wish to attend the ANZCF and will include sessions of interest to a wide climate and user community. It is envisages that some ANZCF sessions will be interactive to draw climate scientists and users of climate information together to discuss issues (e.g. what climate users want, data collection and dissemination). Other topics may include climate education, policy makers and climate, deep-time climate, climate and history/environment/ecosystems.
Abstract submission
The abstract submission website will be open until midnight Sunday 4 September 2016. We are calling for abstracts for the sessions listed below. Please submit to the one of the general sessions if you are unsure of the topic.
