Experimental Flood Monitoring
Daily satellite data from two NASA satellites is processed to identify surface water using the Open Water Likelihood algorithm developed by CSIRO. Imagery for the whole of Australia is processed. Surface water maps are overlaid onto a digital elevation model to estimate the volume of water.
