This December no silly season for OzEWEX

Far from being the silly season, this coming December will be abuzz with OzEWEX science! You can present your research at the 2nd national OzEWEX workshop and sessions at two conferences:

 

21st International Congress on Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM2015), 29 November – 4 December 2015, Broadbeach, Queensland

The OzEWEX working group Trends & Extremes is organising the session ‘G3. Detecting and attributing change in natural hazards’. There are several other sessions co-organised by OzEWEX members through the conference streams ‘Global change and natural hazards’ and ‘Water resources’. See the full list of sessions here. Initial expressions of interest for abstract submission are due by 10 April (details).

 

2nd national OzEWEX workshop (OzEWEX 2015), 2 December 2015, Broadbeach, Queensland

In addition, preparations are underway to organise the 2nd annual OzEWEX workshop within the MODSIM program on Wednesday 2 December. Further details on abstract submission and registration will follow soon.

 

36th Hydrology and Water Resources Symposium, 7-10 December 2015, Hobart, Tasmania

The OzEWEX working group Trends & Extremes is organising the session ‘S.7 Understanding and attributing change in Australian natural hazards: existing knowledge, unknowns, controversies and future challenges’. There are several other sessions of interest to OzEWEX members; see the full list of special sessions here. Abstracts are due by 27 April (details).
